Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) has been settling into her new home with girlfriend Carla Connor (Alison King), daughter Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) and Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) in Coronation Street.
Despite having lived there for barely a week, the Connor-Swains are already having issues with the neighbours – namely David Platt (Jack P Shepherd).
Shortly after moving into No.6, Carla, Lisa and Betsy emerged to find recycling all over their front lawn.
It didn’t take long for David to take credit for the mess, warning them not to use his bin in future, much to Lisa’s annoyance.
Betsy was quick to give him what for before helping Carla to put the rubbish in their own bin.
Though it was a petty move from David, Lisa is set to show him that two can play that game when she stoops even lower next week.
Still annoyed about the bin situation, Lisa leaves Carla amused when she reveals that she has been keeping a note of every time David the Dog barks.
It’s a wonder she has time to do this, given that she is set receive an unexpected update from DI Costello earlier in the week.
The detective sergeant is shocked when her boss warns her to keep her relationship with fellow detective Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) purely professional, as he would hate to see her dragged down with him.
Obviously, this leaves Lisa taken aback – what is Costello referring to?
Could it have something to do with Kit’s later confession to Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), which sees him admit to continuing to investigate a case linked to an old case Lisa’s wife Becky had been working on, despite being warned to leave it well alone?
Viewers will know that Becky was being investigated for corruption before she was killed on duty, and many questions have been raised surrounding her death.
In recent weeks, Lisa finally decided to put the past behind her and stop looking into Becky’s death, but only because DI Costello assured her that the corruption case against Becky was dropped.
This came after she had snuck a look at his emails in search of information, only to find that Kit had also requested access to Becky’s file.
With Kit having gone behind Lisa’s back, she was understandably furious and made it clear that she didn’t trust him.
Is she right to be wary of her colleague? Or is it DI Costello that has something to hide?
