The Springboks are just a few weeks away from officially starting their 2025 Test season, which begins with a warm-up clash against the Barbarians on 28 June before the July Incoming series against Italy and Georgia.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that FNB would become the principal sponsor of all national teams – with the banking giant’s logo now set to take centre stage on the front of all team matchday jerseys.
It was also confirmed that Pick n Pay had signed a four-year contract as a Tier 1 sponsor of SA Rugby, with the company’s logo set to feature in gold on the back of the Springbok jersey, as well as those of all other national teams in a ground-breaking new partnership.
However, in a new departure for SA Rugby’s sponsorship model, the Pick n Pay logo will appear on the front of all national teams’ training apparel in a new departure for SA Rugby’s sponsorship model. Historically, the rights to the front of the playing jersey and training jersey have been the preserve of a single partner.
This was certainly one of the things that caught the eye as the Springboks shared pictures from the first day of their latest camp, with their new-look training jerseys certainly standing out with an interesting design.
