Molly-Mae Hague has admitted she’s struggling to decide how to discipline daughter Bambi after she bit another child.

The Love Island star, 26, welcomed her daughter with partner Tommy Fury, also 26, in 2023.

In the years since Molly-Mae has been open about the ups-and-downs of parenting, most recently detailing how she was figuring out how to deal with her daughter’s tantrums.

Now, in a YouTube video uploaded at the weekend, the reality star and businesswoman has described how her toddler was recently caught biting another child.

‘I got a call from nursery today to tell me that she has bitten another child, and this isn’t the first time that it’s happened,’ she explained.

‘Basically, at her nursery at the minute, there is a bit of a biting pandemic going on, and all of the children are biting one another.

‘I got a call the other day to tell me that she had been bitten and came home with a full-on bite mark on her arm. But I wasn’t even cross or upset about it, because I knew it was only going to be a matter of days before they called me to tell me that she’d done the same back to another child.’

She continued: ‘I feel like they are all seeing each other doing it and copying the behaviour.

‘So, I got a call from her key worker today to say that she’d bitten again.’

Molly-Mae then questioned whether plans to take Bambi for ice-cream later that day would be ‘rewarding her and doing something nice’, when at nursery she had ‘done something really not good’.

‘But equally I don’t know if I should bring attention to it, because when it happened the other week, I decided to with the method of not talking about it because I think they do it maybe because they want a reaction or maybe she wants a rise or wants us to talk about it, so I didn’t at all, but that method clearly didn’t work, because she’s gone into nursery today and done it again.’

Her sister Zoe then could be heard in the background advising Molly-Mae that she ‘should say something this time’.

She then went on to say that she thought ‘most parents wouldn’t want to admit’ their child had bit another.

‘It’s so embarrassing for me because it’s completely and utterly the opposite of what I want my child to be. I want her to be kind, gentle, loving and caring. I want her to be lovely to people and her biting is so far removed from who I want her to be, but equally she is two-and-a-half and she’s testing boundaries,’ she said.

‘It’s also hard because at her nursery they don’t discipline and take a gentle parenting approach. I think she knows the environment she’s in; she won’t be told off. She’s not going to have anything taken off her or be put on a naughty step or told no. But then is that right approach because clearly whatever is going on isn’t working. I’m a bit stuck on this one.’

‘I don’t know what the right thing is to do.’

Later in the vlog Molly-Mae spoke about sharing her ‘vulnerabilities’ in motherhood and how she was ‘not going to shy away ever from what I’m feeling’.

That sentiment was echoed by her followers, who thanked her for being honest.

‘Molly, I LOVE your open honesty with parenting it makes me feel like I’m not the only one struggling at times so thank you,’ Laura commented.

‘Your realness surrounding motherhood and parenting is so so comforting,’ Alys shared.

‘As a fellow mama to littles. Thank you for being so honest and relatable. You are the only YouTuber I can relate to on so many levels especially your thoughts on parenting! Thank you for being real!’ Britt added.

In June Molly-Mae spoke about contending with her daughter’s behaviour at times.

‘I’m having one of those days, toddler mum days, where I question, “am I actually cut out for this?” I’m being very honest,’ she said.

‘When I watch people’s videos and hear them talking about motherhood and how much every single minute they love, love, love it and I sit there and think, “is there something wrong with me as a mum? Because, I can’t sit there and say that every single minute I love it and I’m having one of those days.

‘I don’t even know if I’ll put this in the video, but I’m having one of those days where this is really not fun,’ she said.

‘Not all of it is enjoyable. I don’t know how to explain it. I’m just having one of those days where I find her impossible,’ she confessed.

While Molly-Mae shared she did ‘want to have another baby at some point’, she was concerned about ‘not being cut out for it’ and admitted she struggled with comparing herself to other mothers who seem to be managing better.
