The BBC has dismissed a complaint for ‘inappropriate sexual content’ in a recent episode of EastEnders.
Broadcast on June 10, the episode saw Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) attempt to seduce hubby-to-be Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) amid fears that he was no longer sexually attracted to her.
The episode was part of an ongoing storyline that saw Alfie struggle with erectile dysfunction following treatment for his prostate cancer, which was why he was finding it difficult to be intimate with Kat.
Alfie was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year, and kept the news a secret from Kat for quite a while.
He only revealed his diagnosis to his friends after having an accident in the Queen Vic.
After revealing the truth to Kat, their relationship grew stronger and they decided to get married again.

Unfortunately, there hadn’t been a lot of intimacy between them, which had left Kat feeling insecure.
This only got worse when she found porn on her laptop, and assumed it had been Alfie’s.
In reality, it was son Tommy Moon’s (Sonny Kendall), but Kat had no idea at the time.
In the episode in question, Kat turned to Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) and Mo Harris (Laila Morse) for advice, explaining that Alfie struggled to perform in the bedroom and they needed to use ‘help’ to get things going.

After Jean insisted she would take the kids for the evening so they could spend some quality time together, Kat was left feeling disheartened by Alfie’s reaction.
Doubling down on her mission, Kat dressed up in leopard print lingerie, which she revealed to Alfie from beneath a long jacket.
However, when even this didn’t help Alfie to get in the mood, she questioned how they could be expected to get married when he ‘can’t bear to touch her’.

With Kat having stormed out, Alfie called after her, but to no avail.
The BBC ruled that the content was not inappropriate and therefore the complaint was not upheld, revealing the outcome in their latest complaints report.
Elsewhere in the episode, Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) was left devastated when she spotted George Knight (Colin Salmon) cuddling up to Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).
Also, Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) was disgusted to learn what Joel Marshall (Max Murray) had been up to and how it had affected Avani Nandra-Hart.
