It is no secret that Coronation Street’s David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) do not get on, but their feud stepped up a notch in tonight’s episode.
David has had a strong dislike for the detective ever since he slept with Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) during a rough patch in the couple’s marriage.
Things got even more complicated when Kit started dating David’s sister, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), and the men found themselves unable to avoid each other.
In tonight’s episode, David couldn’t help but rub it in that the Platts had a sweepstake going, with each member having put money on how long Kit and Sarah’s relationship would last.
This obviously set Kit’s day off to a bad start, but things only got worse when he confronted a man for his terrible parking at the precinct.
The shopper wasn’t afraid to argue back with Kit, which only wound him up further as he demanded to check inside the boot for drugs.

Meanwhile, Sarah had got herself glammed up ahead of an important meeting with a client, only for him not to show.
Eventually, he walked into the factory and, lo and behold, it was the man from the precinct.
The man, Eli, apologised for his tardiness, blaming it on an overzealous traffic cop, before suggesting that they reschedule the meeting.
Though Eli had a flight to catch, Sarah assured him that her pitch would be over in ten minutes, and he agreed to stay.
However, things took a nosedive when Kit arrived in search of Sarah and interrupted the meeting.

Eli was horrified that Kit and Sarah were an item, and attempted to leave – much to Sarah’s dismay.
In a bid to make him sit through the remainder of her presentation, Sarah locked the office door and pushed him down into his chair, encouraging him to listen to the rest of what she had to say.
Unfortunately, this didn’t pay off, and it didn’t take long for news of Sarah’s antics to get back to Carla Connor (Alison King).
Furious, she revealed that Eli had contacted her demanding a 40% discount on the order, threatening to report Sarah for sexual harassment if he didn’t get his way.

Poor Sarah was devastated, and though Carla believed that she hadn’t sexually harassed Eli, she explained that times had changed and she couldn’t just flirt in meetings to seal the deal.
Having sent Sarah home for the day, Carla set about trying to repair the damage.
Meanwhile, Kit headed to Sarah’s flat to apologise for his part in her failing to secure the contract. However, when she explained the current state of the situation, he met up with Eli once more.
With Eli refusing to budge on his position, Kit threatened him, which only made Eli double down and decide to skip his holiday to Dubai to see this through.

It wasn’t long before David had got the lowdown on the situation, and he saw it as an opportunity to get one over on Kit.
At the Chariot Square Hotel, David stopped Eli and explained that they were on equal footing when it came to their feelings toward Kit.
Determined to teach the detective a lesson, David told Eli that if he reported him for harassment, it would likely stick.
Will Eli take David’s advice? Are Kit and Sarah both set to lose their jobs?
