NFL Crocs Are Coming Soon for 14 Teams

The NFL and Crocs are teaming up to provide officially licensed clogs (and more), but not every team will be part of the initial rollout.

The league announced Monday 14 teams will soon have their own official version of the iconic brand of footwear, and that’s not all.

Jibbitz charms are also coming for NFL teams, and the league says other clothing and merchandise categories (including bags) are part of a new multiyear deal it signed with Crocs.

Beyond that, team-specific designs will be part of the lineup, including a clog that looks like a bear’s clawed feet for the Chicago Bears.

“The Crocs brand has made a significant impact on footwear culture with their shoes becoming synonymous with ease and comfort,” NFL vice president of consumer products Ryan Samuelson said in a press release. “Collaborating with Crocs allows us to give fans expanded options that will keep them stylishly comfortable for game day and every day.”

Other unique looks include Cincinnati Bengals Crocs striped to mimic the team’s orange and black helmet while the versions for the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings have horns attached.

Beyond that, several versions will be made to resemble the helmet stripes for their team, including the Dallas Cowboys.

Joining the Bears, Bengals, Bills, Cowboys and Vikings in the initial release are the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans.

“We’re excited to join forces with a brand that shares the same passion and loyalty from its fans as we do,” Crocs VP of global marketing Matias Infante said in a press release. “This collection goes far beyond product. It’s about creating unforgettable experiences that bring our communities even closer to the game they love.”

All 32 teams will eventually have their own Crocs merchandise, though no timeline for the rest of the league rollout was provided in the announcement.

More on the NFL and Crocs

The NFL was founded in Canton, Ohio, in 1920, but it rose to the most popular sports league in the United States in the 1960s.

The creation of NFL Properties, which helped streamline the league’s marketing and assured teams got the same treatment when it came to merchandise regardless of media market size, is viewed as one of the keys to that ascendance.

Crocs is based in Broomfield, Col., and has collaborated with numerous notable brands, including Busch Light, 7-Eleven, Pringles, Levi’s, Taco Bell, Disney, Marvel, Barbie, American Girl, The Beatles, Peanuts, Minecraft, Harry Potter and Star Wars.

The company already offers lines featuring teams from the NBA and NHL.

It also offers collections for nurses, chefs and gardeners
