For the past four years, Kaz Kwani and Liberty Poole have been best friends. They regularly appeared on each other’s social media accounts and went on Love Island’s Aftersun together multiple times. But rumours have been brewing about their friendship breakup since early this year.
The two met during season 7 of Love Island and had an instant bond. It was a rough season for both of them. Kaz and Tyler’s rocky relationship ultimately got them to fourth place, while Liberty and Jake’s arguments will forever be in the Love Island hall of fame. The girls relied on each other throughout the hard times on-screen, and people loved their friendship.
Even though they both initially denied rumours of their friendship fall out, people noticed they have unfollowed each other on Instagram. They still follow loads of Love Island co-stars, so the unfollowing feels very deliberate.

People think the cracks started to show in their friendship during last year’s season of Love Island All Stars. Kaz seemed to be spending a lot more time with Toby, while Liberty became closer to Lucinda. Once they left the villa, their social media interactions started to dwindle, but they would still post the occasional video together.
In March, Kaz posted a TikTok hinting at a friendship breakup. People in the comments immediately assumed it was about Liberty.
“Why’s everyone confused who, like it isn’t her old best friend?” one commenter wrote.
The comment section is flooded with Statue of Liberty emojis to represent Liberty, and people claim comments mentioning her name were quickly deleted.

When rumours about their rivalry started taking over her comments, Liberty posted a TikTok addressing them.
“I have not got a feud, or I have not fallen out, with anybody,” she said in a TikTok uploaded earlier this summer. She said she hadn’t been hanging out with the other Islanders much after All Stars because it was her grandfather’s birthday, and she was maid of honour for her best friend’s wedding.

“I met my boyfriend last year, Josh,” she added.
Some people think Liberty’s relationship could be one of the reasons behind the friendship split. Her relationship with musician Joshua Raybould has been criticised by some for moving too fast, with The Sun claiming her friends labelled him as a clout-chaser.
The couple has apparently recently split, unfollowing each other on social media.
“Once the honeymoon period was over, it was clear that they weren’t a compatible match long-term,” a source close to the couple told The Sun.
