Look no further than a few spots in Cape Town that are, quite possibly, giving Paris a run for its money, offering delicious hot chocolates that will have you coming back for more.
A drinkable morsel in a mug, here are a few places to get your chocolate fix without the hefty airfare.
HONEST CHOCOLATE
A chocolate company made with heart and by hand, Honest Chocolate’s cacao beans are ethically sourced from Tanzanian farmers. They have a Chocolate Cafe in Kalk Bay and Wale Street in the Cape Town CBD.
Both cafes offer delicious hot chocolates made from their 70% dark chocolate with no “fillers” or “thickeners”. There are also vegan options available, and a variety of flavours like Mexican Spices, Christmas Orange, Biscoff Spread, and more.
EL BURRO
If you’re looking for something a bit more spicy, EL Burro on 79 Main Road, Greenpoint, offers “Mexican Inspired Hot Chocolate” with cinnamon and almonds. Their chocolate is also 100% organic Coco Fair.
REVVED UP CAFE
Located on 112 Buitengracht Street in Cape Town City Centre, Revved Up Cafe offers fun hot chocolate tastings. Flavours include White Chocolate, Pistachio, Gingerbread, Cherry, Aero Peppermint, Unicorn Fluff, and more!
