EastEnders’ Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) and Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) are appalled when they become the latest women to be verbally abused by twisted teenager Joel Marshall (Max Murray).
Joel has exhibited some disgusting behaviour since arriving in Walford earlier this year, having recorded himself and Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) having sex without her consent, before sexually harassing a passenger on the tube.
His dad Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) has been incapable of getting a handle on his son’s misogyny, and recent scenes saw Joel turn his attention to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
After she publicly called out sick comments he made about her and daughter Lily in The Vic, he leaked intimate images from Stacey’s Secret Cam account.

While Stacey reported Joel to the police, they decided not to investigate, leaving him with a renewed sense of invincibility, which saw him threaten to assault stepmum Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig).
With Stacey’s daughter Lily having since arrived back in Walford after spending time with her biological father Ryan Malloy (Neil McDermott), she finds herself on the receiving end of Joel’s vile words next week.
As Lily catches up with her pal Amy at the café, they are interrupted by Joel, who says some offensive things.
Amy and Lily fight back and call him out, which causes Joel to lose it.
His friend Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall), who is slowly being influenced by his friend’s behaviour, is shocked at his outburst, which is also witnessed by his mum Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace).

While Kat and Tommy row at the Vic about his friendship with Joel, Ross and his partner Vicki are sickened when Amy tells them what happened in the café.
But when the couple confront Joel, things turn ugly when Ross tries to reprimand him, prompting Vicki to reveal some home truths…
Could this have anything to do with a certain fan theory about Joel’s mother?
EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 25 August at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
