Over the years, there have been a few lawsuits filed against Love Is Blind. We very rarely find out what happens in the proceedings, or the outcomes. But, Love Is Blind season five cast member Stacy Snyder has revealed she sued…and won.
Stacy’s claim was part of a class-action lawsuit, in which the production company behind Love Is Blind settled with more than 100 cast and crew members. Stacy has since been very vocal about what happened. As one of the cast members who took legal action against the show, she has shared how much she made out of what was overall a multi-million dollar claim.
Stacy was on the show and agreed to marry Izzy Zapata. They made it all the way to the altar, before walking away. They had decided to give a relationship a go but not a marriage, but it was later revealed they had split.

After the show, Stacy joined the lawsuit against Kinetic Content, that was originally filed by another cast member, Jeremey Hartwell, in July 2022. In the claim, it was alleged cast members were subjected to “inhumane working conditions”. Hartwell claimed the cast were made to wait hours for food and water during their first 24 hours of filming, and were encouraged to drink alcohol on an empty stomach. He also complained about the pay set-up.
In the lawsuit he said: “The combination of sleep deprivation, isolation, lack of food, and an excess of alcohol all either required, enabled or encouraged by defendants contributed to inhumane working conditions and altered mental state for the cast. At times, defendants left members of the cast alone for hours at a time with no access to a phone, food, or any other type of contact with the outside world until they were required to return to working on the production.”
It was also claimed the cast and crew were required to work 20 hours a day, across all seven days of the week, for just $1,000 per week. This equated to just $7.14 per hour. According to USA Today, in December 2024, Netflix chose to settle for $1.4million to be divided amongst all parties.

Stacy has shared how much money she got following the Love Is Blind lawsuit
Now, Stacy has spoken out. “Finally getting paid for the plot line,” she said in a TikTok video. The caption of the video added: “When the trauma turns into a direct deposit.”
She then showed a cheque – for $8,287 – to the camera, and said: “This is what I am owed for filming not even two full months. This is more than I got paid for filming an entire season of 12 to 20-hour workdays.”
At the time, Kinetic released a statement which said: “Mr Hartwell’s involvement in season two of Love Is Blind lasted less than one week. Unfortunately, for Mr Hartwell, his journey ended early after he failed to develop a significant connection with any other participant. While we will not speculate as to his motives for filing the lawsuit, there is absolutely no merit to Mr Hartwell’s allegations, and we will vigorously defend against his claims.”
