NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WJBF) – North Augusta Public Safety is alerting drivers to stay clear of two crash areas.
In a Facebook post from the department on Thursday, Aug. 21, drivers are asked to avoid the area of Ascauga Lake and Country Place due to an overturned concrete truck closing the roadway.
“Please use caution as Law Enforcement Officers and other crews will be out in that area for a lengthy period of time working to clear that area,” the announcement reads in part.
The truck is currently leaking oil and fuel, in addition to concrete hardening in the truck.
The driver of the concrete truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
In another Facebook post that evening, authorities urged people to avoid the Georgia Avenue at Spring Grove area due to a rollover traffic collision. People are asked to use caution to get the roadway back opened and cleared.
