Hailey Bieber sent the beauty world into an absolute frenzy when she launched her beauty brand Rhode, and though it has since been sold for $1 billion USD, we are still obsessed with the brand’s skincare and make-up cosmetics.

We have tried a whole host of Rhode Beauty products, from the Lip Peptide Treatment to the Glazing Milk and Pocket Blush, but the latter pips everything.

While we love the Pocket Blush, we don’t quite love the £25 price tag it comes with. Thankfully, social media fans have done the hard work for us and found an affordable alternative to the multi-stick product, and it’s none other than MUA Beauty Balm, which is available at Superdrug for just £4

The MUA Beauty Balm offers a strong pigmented blusher that can be applied to the cheeks, eyelids or lips, just like Rhode’s Pocket Blush.

Both creations can be used as a bronzer, contour, highlighter, blusher, cream eyeshadow and lip stain, it just depends on the shade, how you prefer to use it and the desired make-up look.

MUA’s balm has been formulated using sweet almond oil extract and vitamin E, which combine to hydrate and nourish the skin. This formula glides onto the skin effortlessly and blends into the skin effortlessly also.

Rhode’s products are famed for utilising peptides, and the Pocket Blush is no different as it contains peptides as well as tamanu oil to hydrate the skin, boost the skin’s luminosity from the inside and out.

Both creations have a strong pigment and a little goes a long way to add a pop of colour to the cheeks. Despite the balm texture, both creations add colour, luminosity and a glowy finish without leaving the skin feeling greasy, tacky or slipping off.

MUA’s design is available in 10 shades, while Rhode’s design comes in 11 hues. While it’s tempting to shop all of MUA’s colours, the Rouge Noir shade bears the most likeness to Rhode’s Toasted Teddy hue, which is a deep plum hue that blends into a rosy flush on the cheeks, which is more versatile than you may think.

The main difference is the packaging. MUA’s balm comes in a compact miniature stick, which can fit into the smallest of clutch bags. Whereas the Pocket Blush is housed in a large cylindrical tube, which may be aesthetically pleasing but it does take up a lot of space in your make-up bag.

You can apply both products in the exact same way, whether it’s with your fingertips, buffing in with a make-up brush or beauty blender or mixing with other beauty products to blend even better and spread out the product.

Considering the £21 difference (without shipping fees) it’s a no brainer.  Plus, Superdrug has a 3-for-2 offer on MUA products, so why not experiment with more colours for less than the price of one Rhode blusher?
