Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has been working hard to win Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) back in Emmerdale, but he’s come to the end of the road.
It looked like Robert might finally get his way when he and Aaron fell into bed together. Despite John trying to work his magic to fully discredit Robert in the eyes of those around him, the situation has flipped 180.
After John’s antics, Robert was left in a bad place, believing he’d lost Aaron for good. But it was not so.
As he smashed up his room in frustration, Aaron overheard and came to see what was going on.
Seeing Robert in such a state stirred something in Aaron, and before they knew it, they were pulling each other’s clothes off.
‘It’s kind of a take it as it is, just this moment kind of thing’, Ryan Hawley said, discussing what Robert thinks of his moment with Aaron.
‘And you know, they even say to each other, we don’t want to think about any of that now, the circumstances that we’ve got is complicated. It is what it is right now, and then we’ll see from there. It kind of leads into the next phase of the story.
‘They kind of take it for what it is, and it’s more kind of as a kicking point or starting point for the next storyline.’
In the aftermath of their sexual antics, Aaron was left in a state both for cheating on his husband, and in learning that Robert now believed they would be together.
Aaron later confessed his infidelity to Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), who was less than impressed, and led Aaron to the decision that he and John needed to leave the village.

But Chas (Lucy Pargeter) catches wind of this and this is the last thing she’d ever want to here.
Distraught at losing her son, she decides to get involved. She takes Robert to one side and urges him to let Aaron go once and for all. He’s toxic, and Aaron can be happy with John.
With nothing left with him, will Robert finally give in and leave?
