An influencer who was rumoured to be part of the Love Island 2025 cast has plead guilty to drink driving. Gabriella Bardsley was in court today.
Gabriella was among the list of people rumoured to be going into the villa, ahead of the show. She is the daughter of Real Housewives of Cheshire’s Tanya Bardsley, and footballer Phil Bardsley. Apparently, Love Island bosses have wanted to bag her for the show for years.
But instead of having her first week in the villa, she’s been in court today. She admitted to being three-and-a-half times the alcohol limit, as per The Sun.
Gabriella was reportedly arrested in May, after she approached the scene of a road traffic collision, driving her Audi A3 in Wilmslow. She then “attempted to drive through the police blockade”. Charlie Hayward, prosecuting, told the court when officers approached her she was visibly intoxicated, “slurring her words” and “struggling” to stand up.

It’s been reported the influencer and reality TV star refused a breathalyser test, so was taken to a police station. There, she was found to have 122 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The UK legal limit to drive is 35 micrograms.
She plead guilty to the charge of drink driving. The Sun has reported she “sobbed” as she was handed an interim ban from driving. Her sentencing will take place on July 14th, and Gabriella faces a fine and/or driving ban. Her footballer father supported her in court, and her lawyer described her as having “good character”.
This has completely shut down any rumours she will be going on to Love Island. ITV never confirmed rumours she was in talks for the show. The show kicked off this week, and we’ve already had bombshells and dumpings.
