Wedding bells could soon be ringing out across Coronation Street, as some eagle-eyed fans have spotted a huge clue that seems to suggest Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) big day is imminent.
It’s the occasion that Swarla fans have long been dreaming of, especially when Lisa first popped the question in May.
Reflecting on the tragic death of Craig Tinker (Colson Smith), she told Carla that she didn’t want to hold back any longer on being happy and wanted to seize the day.
But it wasn’t to be. Carla gently declined, saying she wanted the proposal to be authentic and not as a result of grief.
In the last few weeks, we’ve seen the tables turned and wedding fever hit the household again.
Carla asked Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) to place an engagement ring in a glass of champagne before presenting it to Lisa in the Rovers. Just before the gesture was enacted, Lisa opened up about how her first wife Becky proposed in the exact same way.
Knowing that she didn’t want to replicate the moment, Carla quickly told Glenda to get rid of the champers.
Great minds think alike
In upcoming scenes, Carla rethinks her plans and asks Lisa’s daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin)’s permission before she gets down on one knee.

Betsy is thrilled with the idea, and helps Carla decorate the garden of their home. Unfortunately, in true Corrie style, things go awry and it seems the two are destined never to be engaged.
However, when Lisa discovers what was going on, she boldly tells Betsy that she’s going to have to make the move herself.
Will they finally be able to make things official?
Corrie Tour visitors spot a huge clue
It certainly seems that a wedding is imminent, given the expert photography from one visitor to The Coronation Street Experience.
Taking to X yesterday, @swaineyconnor shared a snap of two brown envelopes perched on the interior windowsill in No. 6’s porch.
Written on the letters? ‘To Mrs and Mrs Connor-Swain’ and ‘The Connor-Swains’.

Metro has reached out to Coronation Street for comment.
@swaineyconnor added: ‘Guys i’ve been sat on this since yesterday but .. how we feeling that these are inside no 6 right now? What do you mean MRS & MRS CONNOR – SWAIN ?
They also asked Vicky Myers: ‘Are these official or was the tour guide winding us up?’
As Corrie records episodes six to eight weeks in advance, it’s likely that these props could’ve been left behind from filming, and accidentally left for fans to discover them.
Metro understands that the set is usually scoured for any spoilers ahead of the visitor attraction’s opening on a weekend, so not to ruin any future storylines.

The 7.7 acre site is composed of six studios, where the show’s interior scenes are filmed, an ever-growing ‘backlot’ exterior set, and two production hubs which are for office use, dressing rooms, a mail room, props store, costume and makeup storage – and most importantly, the staff canteen!
A dedicated visitor experience has been built on site, and is open to guests 7 days a week.
If you plan on having a nosey at the set on a weekday, you’ll find that access to the backlot is off limits due to filming commitments. However, you can still watch a highlights reel of classic moments, plus marvel at old props and costumes from years gone by in an exhibition space.
There’s also replicas of the Rovers Return, Roy’s Rolls and No. 9 Coronation Street, home to the Dobbs family.
Weekend visitors can expect all of the above, but this time see the entirety of the outdoor set.
You can even pay extra to meet a member of the cast.
