Peter Andre has chatted about his children with Katie Price, saying that they are ‘adults’ with their own minds.

The Australian singer, 52, appeared on This Morning on Wednesday, and chatted about his new show The Sunshine Murders.

While chatting to hosts Rylan Clark, 36, and Josie Gibson, 40, the actor also spoke about his older children who he shares with his former Glamour model ex-wife.

His children had previously appeared on the This Morning sofa earlier this month while promoting Princess’s new reality TV series, and he emphasised that they are their own people with their ‘own minds’.

‘They are good kids and they have their own minds and I love that.

‘I try and do what my dad does to me… When I go home, he calls me downstairs and says, “We’re going to the bank now”, I’m like “Dad, I’ve just woken up,” “I don’t care, we are going now”. I can’t do that with them, I let them have their freedom.

‘They’re adults now anyway… I have no choice.’

He was also asked about the impact of social media and how he is raising his children in this modern era.

‘It’s interesting because people ask me that a lot. I say when we all started social media, we were all in it together. We didn’t know the pitfalls of it then. We didn’t know what it was going to be like.

‘Now, I don’t even think social on its own is the problem, I think with AI  involved in it, it’s a whole different level. It’s scary now. We’re all learning and adapting.’

This television appearance comes just after Katie hit out at Princess’s new TV show, claiming that she wasn’t allowed to appear in the series because she is considered ‘trash’.

In response to these comments and after years of tension, Peter called out his ex-wife and claimed that Katie is continuing to repeat 16 years of ‘falsehoods’ and ‘lies’, more of which will be addressed in the ‘coming months’.

In a statement to Metro, Katie’s representative said in response: ‘Kate is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation, this was in the past and she doesn’t feel the need to bring up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she’s dealing with this the right way and it’s now in her lawyers hands.

‘Kate will no longer be gaslighted and bullied as she once was…’
