Jelly Roll has been on a roll… literally!
The country superstar, 40, hit another milestone on his weight loss journey and shared the exciting news via Instagram.
“I haven’t been skinny enough to ride a scooter like this in like eight years,” the “Son of a Sinner” artist said while standing on a Lime scooter in a video posted Tuesday, August 26. “No, 12. Ten years. Anyway, first time riding a scooter straight through the streets of Berlin.”
Jelly — real name Jason DeFord — zoomed off while singer Vanessa Carlton’s hit “A Thousand Miles,” but not before thanking Post Malone for bringing him along on his first ever European tour.
The “Need a Favor” artist has been on a weight loss journey since 2023 when he trained for a 5k. After tipping the scales at 550 pounds, Jelly Roll got serious about his health.
In the two years since, he has dropped more than 200 pounds, weighing in at under 300 pounds for the first time in his adult life.
“I got fat, like, really, really young,” he said on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story? podcast. “I was over 300 pounds coming out of middle school. I’m gonna be under 300 pounds for the first time since middle school the night I walk to that ring at SummerSlam.”
Jelly previously revealed another goal he set for himself: Going skydiving.
“I started at 540 pounds, and I was 357 pounds this morning, baby,” he told podcaster Pat McAfee in April 2025. “I’m gonna lose another 100 pounds and go skydiving with my wife in Sweden.”
