Coastal humidity expected in KwaZulu-Natal – Bundlezy

Coastal humidity expected in KwaZulu-Natal

Residents in KwaZulu-Natal woke to fog patches along the coastal belt, which reduced visibility and created damp, humid conditions.

KwaZulu-Natal’s eastern interior is forecast to experience isolated thundershowers in the afternoon, 28 August. These conditions are less severe than the storms predicted in the Northern Cape, but residents should remain alert.

Forecaster Azwitakadzi Tuwani said, “KwaZulu-Natal can expect isolated showers, especially later in the afternoon. While not severe, they may disrupt outdoor activities.”

Inland Heat Spreads

Further inland, temperatures will climb higher, with areas such as Newcastle and Ladysmith expected to experience hot conditions. The combination of warmth and afternoon cloud buildup may trigger additional isolated rainfall.

Tuwani added, “We are monitoring both coastal and inland conditions. While KwaZulu-Natal is not under a severe storm warning, showers and humid heat are expected.”

With fluctuating weather patterns, KZN residents should plan their activities flexibly, especially around afternoon showers.
