Five were known for being the bad boys of pop in the 00s but even they couldn’t comprehend this bizarre altercation in Russia.

Consisting of Scott Robinson, Ritchie Nevile, Jason Paul Brown, Sean Conlon and Abz Love, the band fell apart in 2000 amid turbulent personal lives.

The group, who reunited on stage for the first time at Robbie Williams’ tour, recalled some of their wildest stories for a new interview.

Jason — aka J — told The Sun how they once ended up in an underground club at 3am, being threatened into a dance-off with a child.

‘We’re in this underground club in Russia and these two men walk in with this kid in matching tracksuits,’ he began.

‘They’re trying to challenge us to a dance-off with this little five-year-old kid at 3am.’

Five didn’t share whether they took on the challenge but after leaving the club, found themselves near a car park which had a large Alsatian on guard.

‘We rattled the fence to see what the dog would do, and then this security guard got up and he was coming at us with an AK-47,’ he continued.

Thankfully, the group had their own armed security, making for a brief stand-off in this random car park.

‘[The guard with the AK-47] looked at that bloke, then looked at us, and ran away,’ J concluded.

Ritchie’s favourite memory was far less dangerous as he recalled ‘randomly jamming’ Jimi Hendrix’s Hey Joe with Sir Roger Taylor and Sir Brian May.

They had been getting ready for the Brits together — at Sir Brian’s house, no less — with the Queen legends joining in after he sang the first line.

The friendship didn’t stop there, though, as Sean revealed he once watched Coronation Street with Sir Roger on the drummer’s massive TV.

‘I was basically stood in the Rovers Return,’ he said of the set up. ‘He’s a massive Corrie fan, Roger.’

In March, ahead of their nationwide arena tour, Five told Metro they ‘never in a million years’ thought this reunion would happen.

While Five briefly reunited after a decade for ITV’s The Big Reunion, J didn’t return and watched from home as accusations of bullying flew.

It didn’t take long for them to reconcile, with hugs and apologies coming as soon as they were in the same room.

‘After we got all the stuff out of the way and we were just really getting easy with each other’s company, Rich just looked at me and went, “Brown, why do you want to do this then?” But I just knew.

‘I’ve been so far removed from it all I’ve never felt ready to do it, and he just had this real perplexed look on his face when he asked me that question.’

Richie responded: ‘He was adamant that he’d never do it again.’

‘Now I’m the one who’s going to be embarrassing myself,’ J laughed.
