ITHUBA, operators of the National Lottery, have confirmed that one participant won the Lotto jackpot of over R41 million in Draw 2571, which took place on Wednesday, 27 August 2025.
The winning ticket was purchased through the Capitec banking app using a R30 manual selection.
The winning numbers were 3, 11, 17, 28, 44, 52 and the Bonus Ball was 48.
Participants who play via banking platforms are notified of their winnings directly by their respective bank.
While the winner’s location remains unknown to ITHUBA at this stage, we anticipate that they will soon reach out to one of our local ITHUBA offices to begin the secure claims process.

In addition to the jackpot winner in draw 2571, another participant won R93 134.30 on Division 2, with many others securing prizes across the lower divisions.
ITHUBA encourages all participants to check their tickets, as there are thousands of winners in every draw.
As digital participation grows, with over 60% of tickets now bought via banking platforms, it is important for players to note that the National Lottery is available on eight banking partners: Absa, Nedbank, FNB, Capitec, Old Mutual, TymeBank, Standard Bank, and African Bank.

The next Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws will take place on Saturday, 30 August from 21:00.
The Lotto jackpot now stands at R3 million, with the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot at R10 million and the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot back at R4 million.
