SPRINGBOK SINGER THANKS MINISTER: ‘REPRESENTATION MATTERS’

In a social media post, Talitha Luiters shared a clip of her embracing Gayton McKenzie at the Springboks vs Wallabies game at DHL Stadium last weekend.

She shared: “Thank you, Minister Gayton, for giving our coloured community a platform and making sure our voices are finally seen and heard by the world.

“Your work is helping us step into our power with pride.”

Talitha used the hashtags “#ColouredAndProud” and “#RepresentationMatters”

Talitha has previously hinted that she is a Patriotic Alliance member, after performing at the Union Buildings last November, when the Department of Sport, Art and Culture hosted a celebration for the South African Olympians and Paralympians. During the event, Talitha performed in front of President Cyril Ramaphosa.

She later posted: “Dear coloured child. I’m here to remind you that you will soon reap the harvest God has promised you … never give up”

She used the hashtag “#OnsBaizaNie”, referring to the PA’s infamous tagline.

Talitha also performed at a PA political rally at Athlone Stadium last May.
