Mortal EastEnders enemies Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) are made to join forces next week following the shock shooting on Yolande and Patrick Trueman’s (Angela Wynter and Rudolph Walker) wedding day.
Wednesday’s episode of the BBC soap saw Zoe Slater’s (Michelle Ryan) life left hanging in the balance after being shot, as tensions between the former love rivals reached a horrifying head.
The drama unfolded after Jack’s nephew Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) discovered the gun that Ravi had instructed Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) to get rid of amid their current drugs operation.
After Oscar sought help from copper Jack, Ravi broke into the Brannings’ in an attempt to retrieve the gun, but was interrupted by ex-lover Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
Upon informing her husband, Jack figured Ravi was the owner of the weapon and set off to confront him. But a gunshot later rang out, and it was revealed that Zoe had been accidentally shot.
Next week, the pair have to pull together to cover their tracks when they both lie about their whereabouts at the time of the shooting – but it soon becomes clear Jack is planning to betray Ravi.

After Jack gives DS Spencer a false account of the night in question, Ravi plays with fire by telling the police that Jack is his alibi as they were together.
Backed into a corner, Jack tells his colleagues that he was trying to recruit Ravi as an informant.
Later, Jack agrees to get rid of the gun with Ravi, but he has a change of heart when DS Spencer arrives to see him.
Ravi angrily confronts Jack for failing to show, but Jack is adamant that he will dispose of the gun later that day, before ordering Ravi away from Walford to act as a decoy for the police.

However, Jack’s secret plan then becomes apparent when he sneaks into No.5A to plant the gun and frame Ravi.
But when Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan-Levy) arrives home unexpectedly, it sparks another dangerous chain of events…
