Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are probably going to go all-out on wedding entertainment–and now they have at least one standing band offer for their reception.
Foreigner, the British-American rock band and 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, want to perform for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and “Anti-Hero” singer when they tie the know. Kelce and Swift announced their engagement last week to much fanfare, to say the least.
On Thursday afternoon, Foreigner used its official X/Twitter account to extend an offer to the happy couple, in the process referencing their biggest hit single, 1984’s “I Want To Know What Love Is.”

“We know what love is. We spent 40 years figuring it out…and now you guys have too,” Foreigner wrote.
“Please accept this as our formal offer to be your wedding band. Best wishes, Foreigner.”
At the very least, this is great work by Foreigner to get their name in the news. Now, they can wait urgently for a girl like Taylor to let them know if she and Travis will take them up on their offer.
(Yes, every bad Foreigner song pun in that previous sentence was intentional).
It’s a ‘love story’
What’s one more stupid pun in this post? Kelce and Swift went public with their relationship in September 2023 and got engaged last month.
On Tuesday, August 26, they announced the engagement in a joint Instagram post.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift captioned it.
On this week’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast, released Wednesday, Kelce told his brother Jason that he still feels “giddy” thinking about his new fiancee.
“That’s right, that’s right. And I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something and all the posts and all the excitement that’s been going on,” Travis said. “It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”
A change of plans
Travis Kelce also said this week that originally, he intended on proposing on the beach in the water before being “warned” by one of the show’s producers not to go that route, since his own experience had been less than ideal.
“I got warned, I got warned. I once thought I would do it on water but you did it. You showed heart,” Kelce told the show member known only as “Intern Brandon.”
