Long Awaited Drink Package Finally Coming to Carnival Cruises

Guests on Carnival Cruises have been able to enjoy a variety of soft drinks and juices with the current non-alcoholic drink plan, but many customers have said that they want a more comprehensive option.

Beverages like zero-proof cocktails, alcohol-free beer, non-alcoholic frozen drinks are all sold a la carte, meaning that they’re unable to be included in the “Bottomless Bubbles” drink package.

Carnival says that it has listened to customer feedback when evaluating its non-alcoholic drink offerings, and they’ve come up with a new drink package that seems to answer many of the complaints.

Carnival’s New Offer To Cruise Guests

Carnival announced the “Cheers! Zero Proof” drink package on Thursday, which it says will be offered in addition with the “Bottomless Bubbles” option instead of replacing it.

“Cheers! Zero Proof is a direct response to what we’ve heard from our guests who want a comprehensive non-alcoholic drink package when they cruise,” said Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy.

“This new package brings together the abundance of our alcohol-free refreshments with the flexibility and ease that our guests already enjoy with our other beverage packages.”

The “Cheers! Zero Proof” package will be available to guests for onboard purchase within the next few weeks. Passengers who are embarking on journeys in the future can already add the package to their trip itineraries.

How Much Will The New Drink Package Cost?

“Cheers! Zero Proof” will cost $29.99 per person, per day. That’s an increase from $9.50 per person, per day with the “Bottomless Bubbles” package. The latter option is also available at a lower rate of $6.95 per person, per day for children.

Carnival also offers a full, comprehensive drink packages for guests who also want to enjoy alcoholic beverages. That option costs $69.95 per person, per day if added before boarding the cruise. If a customer wants to add the package after boarding the ship, it’ll cost an additional $5 per day.

Each of Carnival’s drink packages, including “Cheers! Zero Proof” is purchased for the entirety of a customer’s voyage. The drink packages are also only valid on the ship, and do not extend to other Carnival areas like Celebration Key.

The move comes as the cruise line is set to debut another new ship, the Carnival Festivale. The vessel’s maiden voyage is a 15-day transatlantic journey from Southampton in England to Port Canaveral in Florida, and it’s scheduled to begin on May 2, 2027.
