The Swatch x Omega MoonSwatch collaboration has been many things since its debut in 2022: lightning rod, cultural phenomenon, gateway drug for casual watch buyers, and scapegoat for everything wrong with hype culture. Now, in its most recent incarnation, it’s a popcorn box.
A Popcorn Moonphase for September’s Harvest Moon

On September 8, 2025–and for one day only–Swatch is releasing the Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold Harvest Moon, a special-edition Snoopy MoonSwatch that differs from last month’s model in exactly one respect: the moonphase disc now bears an engraving of popcorn. A playful nod to September’s harvest moon, also known as the corn moon, the motif replaces the fishnet pattern of August’s “Sturgeon Moon” edition. Beyond that? Identical. Same navy blue Bioceramic case (42mm wide, 13.75mm thick), same velcro-and-rubber strap, same faux-aventurine star-speckled dial where Snoopy and Woodstock gaze at the Earth.
What Makes the Harvest Moon Snoopy Different

The details remain charming in that way Swatch has perfected: tiny Easter eggs for the devoted, like the UV-activated “I beat everybody…” message floating above Snoopy. The discs inside the Moonshine Gold-coated moonphase complication are where the designers allow themselves to riff, and the September model leans cheekily into the autumn harvest with kernels and corn.
As with every Moonshine Gold release, scarcity drives the narrative. The Harvest Moon edition will be available for just the one day—again, that’s September 8, 2025, coinciding with the year’s full harvest moon—at select Swatch boutiques, priced at $450. That’s the new reality after Swiss tariffs bumped the once-$380 novelty into entry-level luxury territory.
Availability, Price, and Release Date
And yet, the lines keep forming. Last month’s Sturgeon Moon Snoopy Swatch, despite grumblings about price hikes, still sold out in hours, with flippers pushing resale prices north of $1,500. Whether it’s nostalgia for NASA’s Apollo-era Snoopy patches or the sly mix of pop culture with serious horology, the Snoopy MoonSwatch continues to attract both collectors and the simply curious.
Critics might roll their eyes at yet another near-identical release, limited to a single day, designed to spark frenzy on social media. But Swatch seems perfectly content to lean into the cycle. The popcorn design may feel whimsical, almost frivolous, but that’s part of the point. These watches aren’t aiming for the collector’s safe—they’re designed for the street, for Instagram, for the fleeting thrill of lining up under a harvest moon.
