Thundershowers expected across Gauteng this weekend – Bundlezy

Thundershowers expected across Gauteng this weekend

Gauteng is in for a weekend with a mix of thundershowers and warm temperatures. Weather experts anticipate that Saturday will remain partly cloudy, with conditions building up toward localised showers later in the day.

Forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela noted: “We expect isolated showers and thundershowers mainly in the eastern parts of Gauteng, stretching into Mpumalanga and the Free State.”

Temperatures Remain Warm in Gauteng

Daytime conditions will remain relatively warm, particularly in Pretoria, where temperatures are forecast to peak at around 29°C. Johannesburg is expected to experience slightly cooler but still pleasant conditions, with highs in the mid-20s.

“Although cloud cover will dominate in some areas, temperatures remain warmer than average for this time of year,” Thobela added.

Outlook Into Sunday and Monday

Sunday is set to bring a continuation of isolated showers, mostly in the afternoon and evening. Residents should be cautious of sudden downpours that could affect travel plans. Moving into Monday, thundershowers will spread across central South Africa, but Gauteng is likely to see only a 30% chance of rain.”
