Updated World Rankings: Springboks LOSE ground, NZ extend lead!

The All Blacks maintained their 30-year Eden Park streak after beating the Springboks 24-17 at Eden Park.

New Zealand beat the Springboks 24-17 in an intense, rainy test match at Eden Park on Saturday.

So, as a result, the All Blacks have extended their lead at the top of the world rankings. Meanwhile, the Boks have lost ground to NZ at the top.


SPRINGBOKS LOSE GROUND AS ALL BLACKS EXTEND LEAD

The All Blacks have extended their lead by +1.46 to bring their points tally to 93.17.

Meanwhile, the Springboks have dropped (-1.11). They now sit on 91.67 points.

Meaning, the gap between the two sides has been stretched to 1.50 at the top of the World Rankings. The Boks will have a chance to redeem themselves and to close the gap at the top when they face NZ in a rematch at Wellington next weekend.

The Springboks take on the All Blacks at Wellington next week Saturday, 13 September 2025.
