Katie Price is reportedly ‘delighted’ as her 2017 tune I Got U has been pushed to the top of the charts by supporting fans.

Katie, 47, hasn’t released music in eight years, but that didn’t stop her hit song from soaring to the top of the charts in recent weeks.

Sources have explained that the star is very pleased, as she has been facing a lot of drama recently, as various exes have spoken out against her.

A source told The Mirror: ‘Katie is delighted – and it feels like real revenge to everyone after all of the drama that’s been going on recently.

‘She won’t go quietly where the haters are concerned – she’s been so hurt and feels like she’s always painted as the bad guy, so this has truly picked her up when she needed it most.’

They added that it has been tough for Katie and she is appreciative of the support from fans, adding that she had ‘held back’ what has gone on.

‘It’s not been easy for Katie having to defend herself over and over again when it comes to her exes. She feels like she’s a good mum and has actually held a lot of what has gone on back,’ they said.

‘She was always going to come out fighting, but it’s nice for her to have some support and something for herself for once – she appreciates it.’

Taking to TikTok last weekend, the mum-of-five expressed her gratitude upon learning that her single was atop the iTunes dance chart and in the number two slot on the general UK hits chart in a surprising career comeback.

In her video, Katie told her 1.7million followers: ‘Wow, never, ever, ever, ever, ever, in a million years, did I think I’d be experiencing the fact that my song is number one.

‘I mean, dreams can come true! Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always wanted to be, like, a pop star, and everyone was like, “No, Kate, you can’t sing, you’re rubbish, you’re this, you’re that,” well, it just goes to prove, if you keep going, manifesting things, it can happen.’

‘My childhood dream today has come true,’ she added with a smile. ‘Thank you to everyone out there who has made this happen. I’m shocked. I didn’t see this coming at all.’

In recent weeks, Peter posted a shock statement on social media, accusing Katie of peddling lies for 16 years.

‘For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating,’ she said in a long statement.

He added: ‘In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases, found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today.

‘Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months.’

Katie and Peter haven’t been on good terms since their 2009 separation, which came after four years of marriage, in which they welcomed Junior and Princess.

The pair famously met in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle in 2004, and the world watched their romance blossom. They appeared on several reality shows throughout their marriage before parting ways.
