Barely a week after joining the Springboks in New Zealand to play against the All Blacks, Faf de Klerk has posted pictures of a family vacation in Namibia.
The scrum was called up in the squad to play in the second half of the Rugby Championship test tour. However, he was not named in the official team announcement.
The Bok’s post comes a day after the team endured a 24-17 loss to their rugby rivals in Eden Park.
FAF DE KLERK ENJOYS VAYCAY IN NAMIBIA
Over the weekend, Faf de Klerk posted a series of pictures of his recent family vacation in Namibia. The blonde athlete was joined by his wife, Miné, and their Remi-Ré.
Miné is pregnant with the couple’s second child, another daughter, who is expected to arrive in November.
“Sossusvlei with my crew”, he captioned the images of the family frolicking in the sand dunes.
It’s unclear if the pictures were taken before or after Faf’s Springbok call-up to New Zealand.
NO SHOW IN NEW ZEALAND
In July, Faf de Klerk last played for the Springboks in their game against Italy and Georgia.
However, he failed to make the travelling team to New Zealand.
Last week, SA Rugby announced that he had been called to join the Boks on the second leg of their New Zealand tour.
Faf de Klerk has not been named in the squad to play the All Blacks again at the Sky Stadium on Saturday, 13 September.
