Ed Sheeran Leaving England, Moving to United States – Bundlezy

Ed Sheeran Leaving England, Moving to United States

Music superstar Ed Sheeran has been a resident of England throughout his music career, even when his career took him abroad for extended periods of time. However, it seems like the “A Team” singer has finally decided it’s time for a change.

Sheeran is preparing to release his eighth studio album, Play, which is set to be released this week. However, it sounds like he’s also preparing for a rather significant move.

During a recent podcast, Sheeran revealed that he is “just about” to leave England and move to the United States with his family.

Sheeran’s Beloved English Home

Sheeran grew up in an English town called Framlingham, but currently resides in Suffolk. Over the years, Sheeran has spoken openly about his home, revealing that it includes a sort of man cave.

Sheeran actually built his own pub attached to his house that is accessible by way of a tunnel, where he also has a listening room and a cinema. In those areas, he also has a rather extensive collection of props from iconic Hollywood movies.

Moving to America

During a recent appearance on The 2 Johnnies Podcast, Sheeran opened up about his plan to move his family away from England to the United States.

“I’m just about to move to America. I feel like I might be the only person moving to America,” Sheeran said.

“Nashville is my favorite city in the States.”

Sheeran explained that the decision comes as he is preparing to tour in the United States “for a while,” which would make it difficult for him to see his family if they were not living in the United States, too.

“I’m going on tour there for a while, and I have a family, so I can’t dip in and out,” he said. “We’re going and settling there.”

Sheeran shares two young daughters with his wife, Cherry Seaborn.

Where Will He Live?

While it’s not clear where Sheeran will decide to set down his roots, there is one city that Sheeran has labeled his “favorite” city in the United States, and he has previously expressed a desire to move there one day.

During a recent appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast with host Alex Cooper, Sheeran spoke about his “end goal” of moving to Nashville and transitioning to writing and performing country music.

“When you transition to country, you can’t transition back,” Sheeran told Cooper back in April. “Nashville is my favorite city in the States, and it’s always been my end goal to move to Nashville and transition to country.”

It’s not clear whether Sheeran will choose to live in Nashville now or save that stage of his life for another time.
