Abercrombie & Fitch has come a long way since the 2010s when it was famed for its ultra low rise skinny jeans, white lace cami tops, flip flops and slogan jumpers that dominated our teenage wardrobes.
In fact, we’d go as far as to say the American fashion retailer has almost ditched its former Cali vibes to deliver on trend and versatile staples, and we’re here for it.
The skimpy dolly dresses have been replaced with chic mid-length creations that rival design brands, while the jeans category is ever expanding and offering alternative cuts to the skin tight stereotype.
Speaking of, we have spotted an ultra flattering pair of High Rise Wide Leg Trouser Jeans that couldn’t be further from A&F’s former styles, which are proving hugely popular already.

High Rise Wide Leg Trouser Jean
Crafted from a cotton and lyocell blend, these full-length jeans are comfortable, lightweight yet structured. It features a high rise waistband and a wide leg fit from the hips to the ankles. Available in nine colourways. Sizes range from waist 23 to 38, as well as extra short, short, regular, long, and extra long lengths.
Not only are we fans of the High Rise Wide Leg Trouser Jeans, but so are fellow shoppers. According to the website, this style is top-rated with glowing reviews from shoppers, and has almost sold out, which is a testament to its popularity.
The High Rise Wide Leg Jeans have been crafted from a cotton and lyocell blend, which are soft, comfortable, and lightweight yet structured – hence the hybrid ‘Trouser Jean’ title.
The title of this wardrobe staple doesn’t leave much to the imagination. It boasts a high rise waistband, which elongates your legs, cinches in your stomach, and provides extra coverage. These jeans hug the waist, but fall into a wide leg cut from the hips all the way down to your feet.
These full length jeans are ideal to wear all year long, as you can style with flip flops, ballet flats, trainers, heeled boots and kitten heels.
The classic wide leg jeans are available in nine colourways, including black, grey wash, dark denim, a rinsed denim, washed denim with frayed hems, as well as pale pink, butter yellow and ecru with embroidered detail.
While these jeans do not have any stretch or elastic in the fabric blend, they are available in various waist and length sizes so you can find the perfect fit. The waist ranges from 23 to 38, while the leg length spans from extra short to extra long.
Select sizes in certain colourways have either sold out, or have limited sizes, so you will want to shop quickly so not to miss out on the staple, which fetches £75.
We would pair these wide leg jeans with a classic white tank top and sandals for the last of the summer sun, slip on a linen or cotton shirt for coverage, or a suede jacket for extra warmth and trainers. Alternatively team with Western cowboy boots and a fringed jacket in the Autumn, a crisp white shirt, or a glitzy top, blazer and heels for date night.
While we consider Abercrombie & Fitch’s Wide Leg Trouser Jeans a capsule wardrobe essential, you may want to hear it from other shoppers.
One shopper, who goes under the title Nui, hailed these the ‘perfect jeans’, while a separate customer added: ‘Perfect fit. Super comfy. Love that different lengths are available. They sit just above the belly button, so it’s very flattering.’
Kaylah weighed in: ‘Abercrombie always makes the best jeans. Super flattering and the perfect length (bought the short).’
