Big Brother 27’s Mickey Lee Reacts to Blindside Eviction: Trusting Morgan ‘Bit Me in the Butt’

Mickey Lee’s time onBig Brothercame to an end on Thursday, September 4 with a shocking blindside eviction — one she admits she didn’t see coming. “I feel well rested, and I’m so excited that I’m almost to my crab legs and my espresso martini,” the event curator, 35, casually told Men’s Journal the morning after her eviction.

Still, she confesses she was shocked to be sent packing by her fellow houseguests, and particularly credits her downfall to her friendship with Morgan Pope. “Honestly, I think it went wrong with me trusting her,” Mickey says. “I kind of already had an indifferent feeling about her early on anyway, but in that house, you can never turn down an alliance. I think when I started to see certain things, I should have separated myself instead of trying to stay so loyal. I think that’s what really, really bit me in the butt, for sure.”

Mickey’s Head of Household reign also raised eyebrows when she targeted her own ally Jimmy Heagerty, who wasn’t even actively coming after her. “I had to go with who I felt like was the center point of most of my problems,” she claims. “Even the Keanu [Soto] situation, Keanu and I were fine until Jimmy started planting seeds. Katherine [Woodman] and I were decent until the seeds were planted. I think I had to go with my gut.” Looking back, she doesn’t regret the move. “I still don’t think I would’ve changed anything,” she says. “I think the only thing I would’ve changed was when it came down to Morgan versus Rylie [Jeffries]. I think I would’ve kept Rylie.”

As for Morgan’s growing (and rather controversial) connection with the not-so-single Vince Panaro, Mickey’s not sure what to make of it, but thinks it can actually go the distance. “Honestly, I don’t know what it is. From the outside looking in, it looks like something that’ll last for a lifetime. That’s all I can say for sure,” she says.

She also addressed her tense dynamic with former winner Rachel Reilly, which escalated when she called the veteran “nasty” on the live feeds. “Obviously, if anything that I said came off harsh, that was not the intention,” she admits. “But in the moment and just my experience with Rachel was not the best. I don’t think she was the kindest person and I think everything needed to revolve around her. … Her as a person, I don’t know her deep outside the game. I’m sure she’s exceptional. … But how she treated me personally, I just wasn’t a fan of.”

Though her relationships inside the house were rocky, Mickey makes it clear she found at least one player she wanted to go the end with, telling MJ, “I really wanted Will. I trusted Will, I loved him and I hope he is able to get there for sure.”

Despite the blindside, Mickey isn’t shutting the door on Big Brother. “Oh, the greatest question ever,” she says with a laugh when asked if she would ever do it again. “You know what, I never say no to an opportunity. So when the knock comes on the door, I’ll open it and see who it is and make decisions accordingly.”

Big Brother airs Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. You can also catch the 24/7 live feeds on on Paramount+ and Pluto TV.
