Savvy video game buyers know by now that waiting for the right time to grab new games can save a lot of money.
While some games cry out to be purchased on the release date, a little patience can go a long.
Black Friday now regularly offers huge discounts for gamers each fall, but Sony has decided not to make PS5 owners wait this year.
The PlayStation Store has a big sale going on now that includes large discounts on some big-name titles.

End of summer equals big savings
The promotion is titled “Autumn Adventures,” and the savings is cool even if it’s still 80 degrees outside.
One of the most eye-catching sales involves Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 – Vault Edition.
At 35% off, it can be had for $64.99, but that is not the biggest discount.
The standard edition of WWE 2K25 is 60% off, meaning it can be had for $27.99, while The Bloodline Edition of that game is marked down from $129.99 to $71.99 (44%).
Not to be outdone, UFC 5 is marked down 65% to $34.99.
Also coming in at more than 50% off is the “Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut” bundle, which is available for meaning for just $31.99, a 54% discount from its regular price.
That’s not all
A couple of sports releases from this year are also marked down.
EA Sports College Football 26 is 30% off, so users can now snag it for under $50 (actually $48.99) just as the real season starts to ramp up.
Meanwhile, MLB The Show 25 is available for $29.99 for the standard edition or $39.59 for the Deluxe Edition as professional baseball barrels toward the beginning of its postseason.
More than 3,000 games are marked down, so you will have to head over to the Playstation Store to see them all.
Other notable titles include PGA Tour 2K25, Hogwarts Legacy, and multiple versions of Mortal Kombat.
Horizon Zero Dawn, Forza Horizon 5, and Split Fiction are also included in the sale, which ends Sept. 24.
Some classic PlayStation franchises are also on sale for low prices, including Crash Bandicoot 4 ($19.79), Spyro Reignited Trio ($13.99) and Tomb Raider Definitive Survivor Trilogy ($12.79) are also part of the sale, so there really is something for everyone.
