Jeep Issues Major Recall for Its Best Selling SUV

Jeep just issued a major recall on one of its best-selling SUVs due to safety concerns.

A total of 91,787 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV are being recalled due to a problem that could led to a loss of drive power, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported.

The issue extends to certain 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Plug-In Hybrid Electric
(PHEV) vehicles. “A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash,” the NHTSA added. The production dates for the effected vehicles was between July 23, 2021, and August 29, 2025.

Owners are expected to begin to be notified by the end of October via a letter in the mail. Effective immediately Jeep Grand Cherokee owners can search the NHTSA site with their VIN number to verify if their vehicle is affected.

The company stated that there have been no accidents or injuries reported so far as a result of this issue.
