Costco’s New ‘Family-Sized Bento Box’ With a Built-In Cutting Board Is Perfect for Tailgates and Roadtrips

Most people go from beach, picnic and camping trips in the summer to sports games, tailgating parties and back-to-school events in the fall. No matter the occasion, it’s important to have a game plan when it comes to snacks to fill in the gaps between events or to feature at them. We’re big fans of charcuterie and snack boards because they’re easy to throw together and everyone loves them.

When you’re on-the-go, it’s imperative to have a want to pack everything so it’s organized, clean and easy to pull out when someone’s hungry. That’s where the snacklebox comes in, and Costco is selling one that we’re pretty excited about. The Sabatier Snacklebox 2-Piece Set neatly organizes foods in individual compartments to keep them separated, yet ready to pair.

Costco Sabatier Snacklebox 2-Piece Set

Costco Is Selling a Snacklebox for $20

The set comes with an 11-compartment box and a 7-inch box, so you can choose which – or both – are right for the occasion. And perhaps the most enticing feature is that the lids on each box serve as a cutting board. So you can pop the lid off, use it to chop cheese, fruit or veggies, or use it to serve or present the snack options once you arrive at your destination.

The Snacklebox is fridge and microwave safe, BPA-free and dishwasher safe. However, the manufacturer recommends handwashing it for longevity. If you’re checking to see if it fits in your cooler or bag, the dimensions of the larger box is 11 x 16.6-inches and the smaller is 7.8 x 12.7-inches.

I’m sure the ideas of what to put in your new Snackleboxes are flying around already, but if you need any additional options, let me suggest some healthy options to keep the family fueled.

Grapes, berries, orange and apple slices, cherries, dried apricots, mango and berries, pitted olives, cornichons, nuts and seeds of varying flavors, sliced and wedged cheeses, cured meat and deli slices, pretzels, crackers and dark chocolate all generally go over well, to name a few. It would also be a great place to house mini sandwiches and pinwheels for a heartier snack or lunch.

Fans are enjoying the convenience of the Snacklebox. “This product is AWESOME. Lids are cutting boards”, said one person.  “This looks like a good one”, stated another. “I need this for when I want to take charcuterie board ingredients to a picnic!”, exclaimed another.

The only beef fans seem have with the boxes is the lid doesn’t form a seal with the box, although if you’re not putting any liquid items in, it shouldn’t cause too much of a problem (hopefully).

The set retails for $24.99 at Costco, but is currently on sale for $5 off, for a deal of $19.99. The sale ends October 1, so grab one before it’s too late.
