An alleged suspect opened fire at the officers around Haar and Emig roads in North Codorus Township in York County shortly after 2pm today, WGAL reported.
Three of the officers from the Northern York Regional Police Department are in grave condition and another is in critical condition, sources told the news outlet.
The alleged suspect is believed to be dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the sources said.
‘Please send prayers to the officers and those involved in the shooting in York County,’ wrote Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis on X.
‘As we learn more, follow all guidance from police and stay away from the area.’
The crime scene is about 115 miles west of Philadelphia.
