Forecaster Mduduzi Mthembu explained that rainfall will spread along the East Coast from the Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape into KwaZulu-Natal.
“There is a slight chance of rainfall along the East Coast, spreading from the Wild Coast into KwaZulu-Natal,” Mthembu noted.
The showers will relieve coastal towns that have faced hot and humid days this past week.
Inland Conditions Remain Stable despite rainfall on the coast
While the coast may see rain, the interior of KZN will remain largely dry with mild temperatures. Areas further north, including the Zululand region, are forecast to experience pleasant conditions under partly cloudy skies.
Temperatures are expected to remain comfortable, with Durban reaching a high of 24°C.

The rainfall in KwaZulu-Natal forms part of a weather system stretching from Limpopo through the Free State and into the coastal areas of the Western Cape.
Meanwhile, strong winds in central regions increase fire risks in other provinces.
Mthembu urged vigilance, saying, “Please, rather look out and avoid unnecessary fires.”
