This week, influencer Isabella Ladera spoke out after she accused her pop star ex of leaking a sex tape of them together. He’s strongly denied he had anything to do with the leak.
Isabella has 6.5million Instagram followers, and posted on her Instagram to explain what had happened. She said a video of her and her musician ex, Beéle was leaked in the “cruelest betrayal”. In her statement, Isabella accused her ex of trying to “expose” her.
According to The Daily Star, 26-year-old Isabella has claimed that Beéle released the footage in revenge. This was after they split up after 13 months together. But Beéle, real name Brandon López, has said via his lawyers that he has nothing to do with it.
Through his lawyers, he said: “His artistic career and international reputation rule out any motive or interest in engaging in such actions. Beéle is also a victim of the non-consensual exposure of his private life. We reject all forms of violence and will continue to pursue legal channels to ensure the comprehensive defence of his rights.”
In her full statement, Isabella explained: “I am deeply devastated. An intimate and private moment was leaked without my consent, in an act that represents one of the cruelest betrayals I have ever experienced. That video was in the hands of only two people: The other person and me.” She added the video “violates my privacy and also violates my dignity.” She added: “[It] has caused immense pain, not only to me, but also to my family.”
The post continued: “This leak constitutes a form of violence against women. But the most heartbreaking thing has been receiving ridicule, hatred and judgement, while the person responsible remains silent.”
Isabella added that despite everything, she “will not allow this to destroy me”. She continued: “I am not the first nor the only one. I am not the shame of this story. The shame falls on the one who betrayed. I am still here standing with my head held high. For me, for my family, for all the women who have been victim.”
She concluded that her “worth will not be defined by a video” and that she is taking legal action. Due to her ex denying any involvement, Isabella has also been forced to deny allegations she leaked the tape herself, for “publicity”.
