Apple has just introduced a brand new feature where your iPhone will tell you how long it’s going to take to charge, and it’s just as great as it sounds.
It’s arrived with their latest operating system iOS 26, which has brought a whole new design called Liquid Glass and the ability to make the clock on your Lock Screen huge.
However, people are saying the new battery feature is by far the “best” arrival, with Apple now telling you the exact time in minutes and hours until your phone will reach 100 per cent.
That means more standing next to your charger with your shoes on watching the percentage creep up while waiting to leave the house.

Here’s how to see how long your iPhone will take to charge
To see how long your iPhone will take to charge, first make sure you’ve downloaded iOS 26 as it’s only available with the new operating system.
Then, all you have to do is plug your device in and lock it. After that, tap the screen or press a button to wake it up, but don’t unlock it.
The Lock Screen will display the date and day above the time as it always does, but if you wait a few seconds, this will automatically be replaced with a charging time.
It disappears from the Lock Screen again very quickly, but you can also check the charge time manually. Do this by going to Settings > Battery.

If your battery is draining quicker with iOS 26, it’s totally normal
A lot of people are moaning that their battery is draining quicker after downloading the new upgrade, but don’t panic because Apple says it’s normal.
On its support page, the tech company said: “This is normal, as your device needs time to complete the setup process in the background, including indexing data and files for search, downloading new assets, and updating apps.
“Immediately after completing an update, particularly a major release, you might notice a temporary impact on battery life and thermal performance.”
