Netflix actress Madelaine Petsch has hit back at her former co-star’s recent comments about just how close actors on teen dramas are.
The 31-year-old’s Riverdale co-star KJ Apa offered an intimate insight into what happens between young actors on set, while promoting a new romance film with Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline, 27.
‘Yeah, there’s a lot of drama that comes on shows like that,’ the 28-year-old said of the shows they both got their starts on.
‘Not to say in a gossipy kind of way, but it’s just part of the environment, I guess. Part of the deal.’
Although KJ has never been romantically linked to any of his Riverdale co-stars, Entertainment Weekly reported that in their interview with the star, he ‘keeps doubling down on how teen TV co-stars have sex with each other’.

‘You have sex with them and stuff, and then things start happening. And then things get a little complicated, and then you’re on set, and now you’re fighting with them,’ he said.

‘You sort of just have sex with them, and then you just sort of see what happens. It’s just part of the deal.’
However, Petsch, who has also starred in Netflix’s About Fate, has now clarified where she stands on the comments in the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast.
Asking if she could ‘set the record straight about Riverdale’ and clearly referring to Apa’s comments, Petsch said: ‘I would love to do this on air. Recently, an article came out saying that we all f***ed each other on the show.
‘I did not touch a single person on that show with a 10-foot pole. May I just repeat that one more time? I did not f*** a single person on Riverdale.

She continued: ‘I never touched them. That’s what happened. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.’
Host Alex Cooper questioned what Petsch meant and the actress said that the article in question had implied the Riverdale cast members ‘all f***ed each other all the time’.
She added: ‘I was like, “hey, no, I did not f*** any of you.” I don’t claim that s*** at all.
‘I don’t mix business and pleasure like that. I’ve never hooked up with a co-star.’
