Erm, what? Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu just responded to rumours he had Charlie Kirk killed

Just when you thought the Charlie Kirk assassination story couldn’t get any crazier, Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has responded to speculation about his country’s hand in the right-wing influencer’s death.

On September 10, MAGA homeboy Charlie Kirk was fatally shot at a Utah Valley University event for his American Comeback Tour. The Turning Point USA founder was declared dead just a few hours later, with 22-year-old Tyler Robinson being arrested a few days after that.

Tyler had reportedly “had enough” of Charlie Kirk’s “hatred”, hence the extreme measures to silence him.

“Some hate can’t be negotiated out. If I’m able to grab my rifle unseen I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on. I haven’t seen anything about them finding it,” he said in text messages shared by the prosecutor.

Though most took Tyler’s admission as proof of motive, conspiracy theories surrounding Charlie Kirk’s assassination are rife. One in particular claims Israel had him killed, and amidst the ongoing genocide in Gaza, Benjamin Netanyahu took a break from war crimes to address the claims.

Did Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu have Charlie Kirk killed?

Short Answer: No, but the longer answer is so much stranger.

Following an increase in conspiracy theories, which came amid Candace Owens claiming Charlie was in trouble with “powerful” people, Benjamin Netanyahu took time out of his busy schedule to address the theories. Why a world leader who is ankle deep in controversy even responded is another question entirely.

“Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi propaganda minister, said that the bigger the lie, the faster it will spread,” he said in a video posted to Twitter.

“Somebody has fabricated a monstrous, big lie that Israel had something to do with Charlie Kirk’s horrific murder. This is insane, it is false, it is outrageous. Charlie Kirk was a giant, a once-in-a-century talent who defended freedom, defended America, defended our common Judeo-Christian civilisation. Charlie loved Israel, he loved the Jewish people, he told me so in a letter that he sent me just a few months ago.”

Charlie allegedly told the world leader that one of his greatest joys was bringing together Jewish and Christian people. He “encouraged me to make the case directly to the American people about how vital Israel is to US national security.”

“Now if Charlie disagreed with a policy of mine here and there, not only did I not mind, I welcomed it,” he further claimed. “I welcomed it. This was the essence of Charlie. The essence of a free country. It’s exactly what Charlie stood for, and I knew that his suggestions always came from the heart.”

In one final truly wild moment, Benjamin Netanyahu branded the rumours “disgusting” as he suggested they were funded by Qatar.

“What I do know is this: Charlie Kirk was a great man, and a great man deserves honour, not lies. Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk,” he added.

As one person responded in the comments, “Benjamin, stop ghosting the ICC.”
