A Harry Potter actor who joined OnlyFans to pay for her home improvements has gone into extreme detail about how “exhausting” her new side hustle is.
Jessie Cave portrayed Lavender Brown in the final three Harry Potter films. Back in March, she signed up to OnlyFans to “get out of debt” and fund building work to her house. She doesn’t post explicitly adult content. Her very niche OnlyFans page caters to people with a hair fetish. Jessie Cave posts lots of videos of her combing and tying up her hair in a “sensual” way. In a lengthy essay on her Substack titled “Only Wingardium Nakediosa”, she went into plenty of detail about the challenging aspects of this.
She describes the world of OnlyFans as “competitive”. Apparently she has become obsessed with checking how many subscribers she has on the site. Her “self-worth has become entwined with my statistics”.

Apparently the Harry Potter actor has received very strange requests from OnlyFans subscribers. Erm, someone once offered her money to dip her hair in strawberry milk? Some of these requests sound very challenging to deliver. One time, Jessie Cave tried to cater to her subscribers by dipping her hair into custard. But despite her best efforts, this content “did not sell so well, which was disappointing”. She shared in a previous essay that she struggled to make a video of her husband spanking her back with her braided hair as she was laughing too much.
Another time, Jessie Cave tried to do a photoshoot inspired by the famous painting of Ophelia by John Everett Millais. This did not go well. She found the experience very hard because of her OCD, and a plant pot fell on her head.
Jessie wrote: “The roses kept swimming into my hair and being hidden, the yellow nightdress I was wearing created air bubbles in the water and made my stomach look distended and my nipples were a little too visible. I’m keen to find new ways to keep my content flowing, hopefully with less plants falling on my head.”

Jessie Cave has missed out on other opportunities because of her pivot to OnlyFans. She claims she was barred from appearing at a Harry Potter fan convention because the event was “family friendly” and OnlyFans is “affiliated with porn”. Jessie explained: “This was baffling to me as some actors who do conventions (most actors, actually) have done TV and films in which they’ve done sex scenes and nudity. I’m just playing with my hair!”
She has previously written about the huge impact her OnlyFans hustle has had on her evening plans. She shared in another Substack essay: “I dread the evenings because I know I have to message rather than zone out watching TV. I’ve stopped reading because I feel like it’s not using my time efficiently: any spare moment when I’m not with the kids, I should be making money and keeping my fans subscribed. I’m on a content treadmill and I can’t get off, send help.”
However, Jessie does seem to be pleased she signed up for OnlyFans. She claims to have made more money through the platform than she would have been paid to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Apparently, the money has paid for her to fix up her house. She write: “We now have a van and nice curtains and shelves and now we are settled.” Well, she does have lovely hair.
