Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) was left fearing for Ken Barlow’s (William Roache) safety in tonight’s Coronation Street after taking her blackmailing plot too far.
Ever since she caught Abi Webster (Sally Carman) cheating on husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell) with his brother, Carl (Jonathan Howard), Tracy has been on their case demanding hush money.
Carl and Abi have been seeing each other behind Kevin’s back for months, after finally giving into temptation.
It was clear from the moment they met that there was chemistry between them, though Abi had tried to deny it and stand by Kevin as he underwent treatment for testicular cancer.
However, when she found out that he had been lying about the treatment he needed, Abi was furious, and decided to finally listen to her heart and spend the night – and multiple nights, afternoons and mornings thereafter – with Carl.
This evening, Tracy put her foot down, demanding the rest of her hush money, and refused to accept Carl’s offer of a final £500.
When she made it clear that she didn’t plan on letting them off the hook any time soon, Carl opted to give her a warning, by hiring Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) to trash the flower shop.
Tracy was under no illusion that Carl was behind the break-in, but she was left frustrated when he provided her with a rock-solid alibi.
Unfortunately for Carl, he had just awoken a beast.
When Abi arrived home, she was horrified when Kevin told her that he was going to meet with Tracy, explaining that they were having a business meeting.
Abi knew that business had nothing to do with what Tracy wanted to talk to Kevin about, and she was instantly struck with fear.
Abi was quick to warn Carl what was about to happen, and he instantly took matters into his own hands.
Just as Tracy was about to sit down with Kev, she got a facetime call from none other than Carl.
She was shocked to see that he was sat in her living room, and her shock turned to horror when she realised he was with Ken.
Tracy was quick to inform Kevin that she needed to get home, leaving him confused, before rushing in to find Ken reminiscing to Carl about old drinking days with Carl’s dad.
Ken seemed more than happy to keep chatting, but when Tracy ordered Carl out, he relented, but not before making a thinly veiled threat about the importance of a person’s relationship with their dad.
With Carl having threatened Ken, will Tracy back off, or will this only make her more inclined to double down?
