Die Hard actor Bruce Willis has been staying out of the spotlight since being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Despite no longer being in the public eye, his family has shared photos here and there of the actor as his condition worsens, with the newest photo part of a carousel posted by Scout LaRue Willis.
Scout, the middle daughter of Willis and Demi Moore, shared heartwarming photos collected over the past few months on her Instagram, captioned, “Belated tidings from a summer of wonder.”
Among the photos is none other than Willis sitting between his two youngest daughters from his marriage to Demi. He’s seen smiling as Tallulah Willis and Scout have their arms around him and laughing, with Tallulah comically holding her hand on her father’s head.
The rest of the Scout’s photos include days out hanging with friends, like actor Thomas Doherty, nights in playing dominoes, and photos hanging out with her sister and mother, Demi.
Willis is currently living in a separate home from his wife, Emma Heming Willis, and their younger daughters. His wife previously revealed the actor’s brain is “failing him” since his diagnosis in 2023. He needs round-the-clock care, with the separate home better equipped for his medical needs.
Despite the dementia affecting his brain and his speech failing him, the actor is still “very mobile.”
“The language is going, and, you know, we’ve learned to adapt. And we have a way of communicating with him, which is just a … different way,” she said to Diane Sawyer of ABC News.
The last time Willis was seen out in public was on September 15, and he appeared in good spirits. He enjoyed a ride around town with his wife in Los Angeles as she drank coffee and he wore dark sunglasses. They also visited a car wash.
