Strictly Come Dancing fans are raging at the news that Dianne Buswell and Chris McCausland’s podcast might have to come to a sudden halt.
Comedian Chris, 48, made history as the show’s first-ever blind contestant before dancing his way to the glitterball trophy with pro Dianne – and scoring a Bafta TV award for most memorable moment along the way.
The pair won over the nation’s hearts and launched a podcast, Winning Isn’t Everything, in which they have a ‘chaotic’ weekly catch-up and discuss all things ‘wins, fails, life and nonsense’.
As the synopsis continues: ‘Dianne wants to understand the world a bit more, Chris just wants to moan about it. They might even answer some listener questions if they can get around to it.’
Since their veritable Strictly success, both have been busy with Dianne prepping for the new season starting imminently (in which she’ll make history as the first ever pregnant star) and Chris on tour with his popular show, Yonks.

Under a video Chris shared to social media, one X user BFC_Zoe wrote: ‘Chris!! Your podcast can’t be ending, I spend all week wishing it was Thursday. We were robbed with a shorter one too this week.’

To which he replied: ‘I’m afraid it’s a possibility. At the minute it doesn’t look like Dianne will be allowed to do it through Strictly.’
Fans were devastated to hear the news with one user Susan Smith, writing: ‘That is ridiculous. How can the BBC stop Dianne working on the podcast but allow other pros and judges to do other work during the series.’
‘Nooooo Thursdays won’t be the same without you two ! Maybe she will be able to when BBC realise how popular it is,’ Sally Etcell shared.
‘Very sad and disappointed if that’s the case. I look forward to listening every Thursday and never missed an episode. The connection with you and Dianne shows on the podcast and I will really miss it, entertaining, funny and provides some comfort and relief from a crazy world,’ HelenM added.
‘Nooooooo! I look forward to them every week!!’ Elen Hebden echoed.
Although there’s no word on whether the podcast will go ahead, we will be seeing a Chris and Dianne reunion on the dance floor.

The BBC has confirmed the dancing duo will perform their award-winning waltz, You’ll Never Walk Alone, during the launch show on Saturday night.
When accepting the Bafta for the powerful dance which brought viewers to tears, Dianne said: ‘In one minute and 30 seconds of a dance, I feel like this told such a story. A story of hope, determination, resilience, and vulnerability, all in that one minute 30.’
The professional dancer – who is expecting her first child with Joe Sugg in 2026 – has opened up about how her pregnancy will affect her prep this season on the Winning Isn’t Everything podcast.
‘I’m still doing everything I did before. Obviously with lifts there’s going to be a bit more caution. But my doctor has said everything is normal.
‘He said, basically, if you’ve done it before, in terms of being a dancer and you’ve done this, done that, then crack on and keep doing what you’re doing,’ she said.
