David Tennant has made his name starring in some of the best TV shows ever made.
So far, the great thespian has lent his impressive acting talent to Doctor Who, Broadchurch, Good Omens and plenty more.
Yet the problem with starring in so many great shows is that sometimes brilliant series get forgotten.
Thankfully, the good people at Netflix are always on the lookout for great series to add to their streaming services, and they’ve recently added a brilliant David Tennant thriller.
The Escape Artist, which first aired on BBC One back in 2013, follows Will Burton (Tennant), an ace barrister who’s never lost a case and is well known for getting his clients out of a jam.

When Burton gets murder suspect Liam Foyle (Toby Kebbell) off on a technicality, however, his life takes a dark turn that brings his idyllic life crumbling down.

The three-part series impressed critics and TV viewers alike on its release.
The Guardian’s reviewer described it as ‘taut, pacy, chilling’ and The Independent wrote that ‘what The Escape Artist lacked in original characters, it made up for in scares.’
The Metro’s review, meanwhile, praised David Tennant’s acting, which made Will a sympathetic lead.
On Google, Raye Hendry gave the series five stars, writing: ‘Excellent all-around drama…Watched it twice now, as it was so well made, great storyline, great cast.’

Janette Robertson was similarly enthusiastic, adding, ‘All actors were brilliant and as for David Tennant, absolutely outstanding.
Of course, not everyone was impressed with the show. EPC1948 Rhm claimed it was ‘totally implausible’ and had a ‘weak story’.
