Thomas Skinner’s Strictly Come Dancing journey began this weekend, and his wife Sinead has reportedly come out fighting after Saturday’s big 2025 launch show.
Former Apprentice star and current Strictly hopeful Thomas, 34, has had an eventful few weeks after being named as part of the celebrity cast for the 2025 series.
After apologising for grabbing a journalist’s phone and storming out of a press conference, Thomas confessed to cheating on his wife Sinead just weeks after their wedding in 2022.
On Saturday, he was paired up with professional Strictly dancer Amy Dowden, as they hope to become the latest couple to lift the famous Glitter Ball trophy.
After the conclusion of the launch show, a source close to Sinead has revealed how the headlines of the last few days have affected the Skinner family.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: ‘This has of course all been upsetting for Sinead. The attention has been difficult for her as it brings it all back but she is resilient and her family is strong, her marriage is strong.’
Thomas admitted to the publication that he had met beautician Amy-Lucy O’Rourke in the 2022 and engaged in their affair just weeks after he and Sinead were married.
The source continued: ‘[Sinead] knew about the affair more than three years ago and they dealt with the aftermath together back then. This is old news to her, she forgave him then.
‘What people probably don’t realise is that Sinead is an incredibly strong woman. Thomas has described her as his rock and it is so true, she is.’
However, 35-year-old Amy-Lucy told The Mail last week: ‘We were originally friends but with his sweet-talking and his lies, he made me believe we were in love.
‘He would stand in the mirror with me and say, “Look, we’ll be Mr and Mrs Skinner”. That is actually traumatising to me. You don’t say that to someone when you’re already happily married.’
Amy-Lucy admitted that she ‘fell in love’ with new Strictly star Thomas, but later accused him of being ‘nothing more than a liar and a cheat’.
She claimed that the two were living in a ‘love bubble’ after their friendship apparently became romantic, with Thomas allegedly sending flowers to her place of work.
A few days ago, the Celebrity Masterchef star took to X to explain his most recent actions and question why people had taken such an interest in the story of his affair.
‘My life ain’t perfect – far from it. I’ve made big mistakes, I’ve let people down, and done things I’ll always regret in my past. The worst was what I did to my wife three and a half years ago.
‘One stupid moment I’ll carry forever. It was nothing more, nothing less, despite what is being said. I told [Sinead] straight away. She had every right to leave me, but she forgave me – that forgiveness changed my life.’
