NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WJBF)- One person is dead after a single vehicle accident in North Augusta Saturday night.
The North Augusta Department of Public Safety was called out around 9:15 p.m. to a crash on I-520 at I-20.
The vehicle was taking the exit onto I-20 heading towards Augusta and ran off the right side of the road, hitting the guard rail.
The driver was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene at 9:48 pm. He has been identified as 45-year-old Albert Stroman, Jr. of Salley, S.C.
The passenger in the vehicle was unharmed.
North Augusta Public Safety Traffic Division was called to the scene along with the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
