There’s an iconic game on TikTok right now that literally everyone is playing – but it’s never really explained how you can get involved yourself and have a laugh with it. I’ve got you covered, though – as always. If you’ve not seen, it’s basically a group of friends playing Imposter – and it’s hilarious. Chaotic and hilarious. But if you want to know how to actually play it there are a number of different avenues and this is the way to do it. It’s also all free. Love a bit of good clean fun, and the TikTok Imposter game is honestly a banger.
Here’s what the game actually is:
So, say you and your mates are a group of eight. Seven of the people in the group will get a word or object and one person in the group will just get told they’re the Imposter. You then go around in a circle and everyone says a one word clue that links to that object. For example, if the word was mug – the one word clues you’d say could be like “hot” or “relax”. You don’t want to be too obvious with it because then the Imposter can very quickly guess the object and play along.
The Imposter then obviously has to blend in – and try and not get rumbled by the others.
How to play the viral TikTok Imposter game yourself
There are a number of apps you can download to play this kind of game, but honestly the simplest way is to just go to Imposter Game in your web browser. This is a really handy way to play it and you only need one phone. You basically add to the game before you start how many players are in your group. You then pass along the phone through the whole group and reveal to each who has been assigned a word and who is the Imposter.
Then play til you guess it right and do the clues!
