B&M is no stranger to satisfying our chocolate cravings, often stocking sweet treats we just can’t seem to find anywhere else.
Think the Cadbury Dairy Milk Shortcake Biscuit bars, which were originally discontinued in 2008, but showed up on the bargain retailers shelves in May.
It even stocked the Nestle Caramac chocolate bars after it was announced it would be discontinued, forever.
And there’s now a new Cadbury treat B&M has added to its line up, which shoppers say they ‘need in their life’: Cadbury Crispy Caramel Choc Top Twirls.
The Australian treat features crispy caramel flavoured swirls inside layers of crispy wafer, coated in Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate. Each packet has two bars since it’s a ‘share pack’, although we’d happily devour them both.
Posted to New Foods UK Instagram and Facebook accounts, the sweet treat announcement said it had been spotted at B&M stores earlier this month, selling for just £1.
The posts collectively racked up more than 6,000 likes, with many saying they’d be heading to the bargain chain to try one.
‘Need them in my life lol,’ wrote Hayley Louise Broughton on Facebook, while another said they looked ‘delicious’.
‘Omg straight in my basket,’ said Maria McDermott, under the same post, and on Instagram, Andy Lindsay added: ‘Hell yes, I need this immediately.’
Is it similar to a cult favourite?
Many in the comments likened the Crispy Caramel Choc Top Twirls to the original Cadbury Time Out bars, which featured two wafer fingers with a Cadbury Flake centre, covered in milk chocolate.
‘Like an original Time Out,’ questioned @tourmyworld on Instagram.
Another added: ‘So it’s a Time Out then basically.’
‘Yeah, the OG Time Out, I remember them well as they were my obsession,’ agreed @Kazbar1980.
Cadbury sparked outrage back in 2016 when it confirmed it stopped making the original Time Out bars, replacing them with a slimline single-finger version: the Time Out Wafer.
The original bar first appeared in the UK and Ireland in 1992 but has since been discontinued, leaving fans of the bar very upset.
‘I was so mad when they stopped making these,’ wrote Lucy Walden on Facebook. On X, one user (@adamlew09_adam) asked Cadbury: ‘Is there any chance of bringing back the original Time Out bar? These are just not the same and depressing.’
Others agreed, saying: ‘The original was heavenly.’
So, could this new Aussie Crispy Caramel Choc Top Twirl be the answer to the prayers of disgruntled Time Out fans?

What other rare sweet treats does B&M stock?
B&M has long since shared the wealth with us Brits here in the UK, when it comes to supplying us with delicious Australian and American treats, usually unavailable to us.
Take the Cadbury Caramilk Twirl Bites for £2.99, which reminded us of SnowFlake bars Cadbury used to sell in the 2000s. Or, Mars Pods which hail from Australia and New Zealand, which are small baked wafer shells filled with Mars caramel and topped with chocolate.
Our food Writer Courtney Pochin dubbed these ‘incredibly addictive’, so don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Raspberry Smash Mars Bars also caused a stir when shoppers found them in B&M. The treat, filled with raspberry flavoured nougat and covered in chocolate, has a fruity twist from down under and was dubbed ‘absolute heaven’ by fans.
Whatever you’re craving, you may just find it at the Bargains and More store.
